Liara A. Silva is an associate attorney with Davis & Santos. Liara is experienced in civil litigation as well as providing advice and counsel on contractual matters and pre-litigation disputes.
Prior to joining Davis & Santos, Liara’s practice focused on representing both public and private employers in all aspects of employment law, including discrimination and harassment litigation, business and facilities matters, and disability accommodation issues. Liara also has expertise in advising educational institutions regarding Title IX investigations and litigation.
During law school, Liara interned for the Securities and Exchange Commission, Asset Management Unit, the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General, Civil Rights Division, and State Street Bank and Trust Company, Securities Finance Legal Department. Prior to law school, Liara spent two years helping litigants navigate family law matters in New York City.
As a native Spanish speaker, Liara is able to assist Spanish-speaking clients as well as financial institutions with disputes involving transactions in Mexico. She has experience conducting investigations in Spanish, conducting bilingual legal education trainings, translating legal documents, and interpreting for clients.
Liara received her J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2012. Liara also holds a B.A. in Cognitive Science with a focus on Linguistics from Yale University.
