Karissa Gonzalez is a partner with Davis & Santos. Karissa works closely with businesses, individuals and tax-exempt organizations to accomplish their goals while also protecting their legal interests. Her practice is primarily focused on business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate transactions. Karissa also has significant experience advising entrepreneurs, high net worth individuals, and closely-held businesses regarding business formation, investments, and succession planning.
Having worked in both major law firms and in-house, Karissa has broad experience representing clients on business matters and understands the importance of providing practical advice tailored to each individual client’s needs. Her clients operate or invest in a variety of industries, including credit unions, healthcare, hospitality, real estate, construction, oil and gas, water, and public utilities.
Karissa handles corporate entity matters on behalf of for-profit, non-profit, and professional entities (including law firms and medical practices) throughout the lifecycle of the business, from formation to disposition. She regularly represents clients in connection with negotiating vendor contracts, mergers and acquisitions, real estate purchase agreements, financing arrangements, commercial real estate leases, and employment and consulting agreements.
Prior to joining Davis & Santos, Karissa worked as the General Counsel of Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union and as Associate General Counsel at WellMed Medical Management.
