Hayley Ellison, senior counsel at Davis & Santos, PLLC, has been recognized as one of The Top Attorneys in San Antonio: 2021 by San Antonio Magazine for her accomplishments in appellate law matters. This is the second consecutive year Ellison has received this honor.

The annual award recognizes top attorneys who excel in their specific field of law. San Antonio Magazine revealed the list of 2021 winners online in late November.

“I am honored to be included on this year’s prestigious list of top attorneys in San Antonio,” said Ellison. “This recognition is significant because my peers nominated me. Earning the respect of people I work with, or argue against, is an honor. We have some outstanding attorneys practicing at Davis and Santos, and I have learned from exceptional mentors at my firm.”

San Antonio Magazine solicits peer-based nominations from attorneys in Bexar and surrounding counties, asking them to nominate up to three attorneys per practice area they would trust with the legal care of themselves or their family. San Antonio Magazine tallies the results, selecting the top percentage of vote recipients in each practice area before submitting the list to fact-checkers, who confirm the attorneys are in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Ellison is a well-respected lawyer in her field, having handled multiple complex commercial litigation matters and appeals in federal and state courts. In addition, Ellison has drafted petitions and briefs in Texas and federal courts of appeals, including an amicus curiae brief to the Supreme Court of the United States. Ellison’s practice areas include appeals, bankruptcy disputes, commercial and complex business litigation, and general litigation.

Throughout her career, Ellison has been recognized for her accomplishments within the legal community. In 2021, Scene in S.A. named her “Best S.A. Female Lawyer”. She was also included on the Texas Super Lawyer’s “Rising Star” list in Business Litigation in 2017 and 2018.
